How to Reduce the Health Risks of Smoking MARIJUANA
Getting High & Staying Healthy: How to Reduce the Health Risks of Smoking Marijuana, 8 page feature article in the Fall 2008 issue 13 of Treating Yourself: The Alternative Medicine Journal (Canadian medicinal marijuana magazine). Getting High and Staying Healthy is not my preferred title, instead I much prefer: First-Aid for Marijuana Smokers.
Sex and the Single Male Cripple in the February 2009 Valentine’s issue; & The Love Buggy, satire about a sex toy in the February 2008 Valentine’s issue; both in New Mobility (the best of way too many magazines for cripples). Inspired by graffiti on handicap parking signs, I take the blame for the iconoclastic (look up its etymology!) icon, and indeed for all the icons on this page.
A Walk on the Wild Side: Paraplegia & Marijuana, an autobiographical and social commentary article in the Spring 2009 issue 16 of Treating Yourself: The Alternative Medicine Journal (Canadian medicinal marijuana magazine). Inset handheld-camera self-portrait photo taken August 2008.
VEGAN & Vegetarian Restaurant Options in Southeastern Connecticut
Vegan and Vegetarian Restaurant Options in Southeast Connecticut – okay, I admit that this has been “published” no place else but here. But a special vegan friend has suggested that I somehow share this, so that how is somewhere here. Can't call it a Restaurant Guide to Vegetarian Restaurants in Connecticut's Southeast Corner, because no such restaurants exist. Rather, this is a restaurant guide to vegan and vegetarian options in carnivorous restaurants, and even this is a scant three pages. (December 2009: While we're here, I offer my regretful lamentation over the demise of my dearly beloved Ahimsa Restaurant in New Haven.)
